BIRN Integrated Information Service

Introduction

The BIRN Integrated Information Service (IIS) enables the registration and discovery of BIRN infrastructure capabilities.
At the center of BIRN IIS is the Capability Registry which defines common capability metadata.
Using the discovery API (described below) users and software can discover and use BIRN capabilities.
